Millard honored for being “Top 100” in nation

Doug Schmitt of the American Music Conference and National Association of Music Merchants traveled to Millard to recognize our district for having one of the nation’s top 100 music programs. He presented the award at last night’s school board meeting. This marks the fifth time Millard has been included in the annual “Best Communities for Music Education” list. Millard was the only district in Nebraska to make the list in 2010. The Four Chordsmen of Millard West High School represented the many talented students and teachers in Millard’s music programs. The quartet performed under the direction of Kathy Huerta-Simpson.
