2009 quotes…

“LIFE-CHANGING!”  “I LOVE MY NEW BACKPACK!”  “I can’t believe EVERYTHING is FREE!”

What will they say about Summer Fun Dayz 2010?

On Saturday, August 7th, 2010 more than 25 tents will cover the Eagle’s Nest grounds. As in years past, at precisely 12:30 the long lines of eager folks will be let in and the outrageous fun will commence! Over 1000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies will be given to families in need. Summer Fun Dayz (SFD) will also serve free hot dogs, chips and pop to the 5000 people expected to attend. The fun includes face painting, bike repair, hoop-it-up, wild kids games, make-overs, live music and drama, even foot massages for those tired moms!  Plus, prizes galore like dishes, sheets, towels, fans, restaurant & grocery gift cards, bicycles, basketballs and more!

Why Summer Fun Dayz? Because Eagle’s Nest is passionate about our community, equipping kids, and encouraging families. Last year, more than 50 organizations including Borsheims, Con Agra, Wal-Mart, Target, Henry Doorly Zoo, Woodhouse Auto, Creighton University Hospital, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Great Western Bank linked arms with Eagle’s Nest to bring Summer Fun Dayz to fruition by donating money and goods. Our financial partners joined us in handing out more than 1000 backpacks to metro children in need. Donations also made it possible to feed families, provide school supplies and even give away a home computer. The result, thousands of people in north central Omaha were treated to a day of safe, family fun! The Omaha World-Herald has proclaimed SFD a “Summer Festival of Free”. This year the FREE fun is back, Bigger than EVER!!!

Would you like to help with SFD 2010? Your contribution is tax-deductible and 100% goes toward the purchase of backpacks, bicycles, hot dogs, and other supplies. We cannot tell you how grateful we are for your help. “Our” reward is the smiles of appreciation and the simple “thank you” from grateful families.  Together, we can give our children the necessary tools for another successful school year!!!

Should you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to call our office at 571-9191.

Sincerely,
